i am especially interested in immigration, abortion, religion, and the environment. my geographical regions of interest are the united states, latin america, and south asia.

i am an optimist and an idealist, and i believe we can create a more compassionate world through stories. i like traveling, talking to strangers, late nights, and new languages.

i grew up in princeton, nj, and graduated from columbia with degrees in human rights and creative writing. i’m currently pursuing my master’s in journalism at columbia journalism school.

i was selected by nyt columnist nick kristof for his 2024 win-a-trip contest and will be traveling and reporting with him this summer. i’m also an overseas press club foundation award winner, a FASPE fellow, an uproot environmental justice fellow, an nbc scholar at columbia journalism school, and an AIR new voices fellow.
